While many residents join through established partnerships, we also directly place individuals based on their specific needs through a tailored model.
There are two primary criteria for admission in to RIK:
RIK provides care for adults with learning disabilities, mental health difficulties and/or complex needs from the ages of 18 to 65 years of age. Referrals must fall in to this category.
The resident must want to live within one of the services which RIK provide unless their placement has been dictated in a multi-disciplinary ‘best interests’ meeting prior to placement.
Each resident will undergo a thorough assessment to identify their strengths, needs, preferences, and goals. Based on the assessment findings, individualised support plans will be developed in collaboration with residents, their families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
